Guided by Zhao Yan, Hou Bowen, and Liu Jiankun, the project "Why Do Northern Geese Fly South: An Analysis of the Difficulties in Local Employment for Graduates from Universities&Colleges in Northeastern China – Based on a Field Survey in Heilongjiang Province" won the National First Prize in "Initiative Challenge" category.

Under the guidance of Yang Guoqing, Zhao Delei, and Hou Bowen, the research "Visiting the Pillars of China Industry, Searching for the Spirit of State-owned Enterprises – A Study of State-Owned Enterprises from the First Five-Year Plan in the Old Industrial Base of  Northeastern China" received the National Second Prize in the "Red Project" category.

The project "Experiencing the Pioneering Epic of the Black Soil Land, Letting the Spirit of the Great Northern Wilderness Shine Forever" led by Fang Shuai and Zhou Ying won the National Third Prize in the "Red Project" category.

Under the guidance of Wu Suran, the research "The Failure and Legacy of Capital Invested to the Countryside – An Agricultural Development Survey in the City of Ning'an, Heilongjiang Province" received the Provincial First Prize in the main "Challenge Cup" category.
