From July 5 to 7, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Chinese Sociological Association was held in our university. With the theme of “Comprehensively Deepening Reform and New Journey of Chinese Sociology”, the conference will discuss major theoretical and practical issues such as comprehensively deepening reform and Chinese-style modernization, explore the academic interpretation and expression of Chinese-style modernization, promote the construction of disciplinary, academic and discourse systems in Chinese sociology, and push forward the construction of an independent knowledge system in Chinese sociology. Mr. Zhao Rui, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, made a speech.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Yan Rujian, vice president of Harbin Engineering University.

The keynote session was moderated by Wang Aili, Vice President of the Chinese Sociological Society and Director of the Institute of National Security and Northeast Revitalization Development at Harbin Engineering University.

Zhang Yuyan, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and researcher at the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), made the presentation.

In the afternoon of the 7th, the closing ceremony of the annual conference was held as scheduled. Tong Genxing, Secretary-General of the Chinese Sociological Society, presided over the meeting, and President Zhang Yi summarized the conference.

Our 255 volunteers were recognized for their active participation in the work related to the annual meeting, and certificates were awarded to the volunteer representatives.
